5D4N Bukit Lawang Orang Utan Tour - Bukit Lawang or known also as
Bohorok is for the adventurous, accessible through Sumatra’s inland wilderness,
crossing rivers and going over steep hills.
The area lies south of the Mount
Leuser National Park, a rehabilitation center for Orang Utans in Bahorok, which
was inaugurated in 1973. Orangutans living here are of Sumatra and Kalimantan
origin.
Seeing the orangutans is a magical experience. In Bukit Lawang, you can
usually see them near the rehabilitation centre and at the feeding platform
during the morning and afternoon feeding sessions. In Ketambe, you can go to
1-7 days treks into the jungle. The best experience is an encounter in the
jungle where there are many semi-wild and wild animals.
The wild orangutan can
be difficult to spot unless you go deep into the jungle. There are also white
and black gibbons that make an amazing noise calling out to each other, and
Thomas Leaf monkeys. If you are lucky, you may be able to see hornbills,
toucans, moon snakes, monitor lizards.

DAY 1 : MEDAN BUKIT LAWANG
arrived in kualanamu international airport,welcome by enjoy holiday medan, transfer to local restaurant for lunch. the city tour will started to visit maimun palace and the great mosque of medan, chinese temple, kesawan deli parijs van sumatera, then proceed of bukit lawang regency to see the rehabilitation centre of orang utan at bahorok village . drive approximately 4 hours from medan. passing rubber, palm oil plantation with country side landscape. upon arrival at bahorok, transfer to hotel for overnight. dinner will served at hotel. rest of the day free to explore the resort and enjoy the natural atmosphere at the gunung leusser national park or rest and relax.
DAY 2 : BUKIT LAWANG BERASTAGI
breakfast at hotel. after processing the permit, walk and climb up trought sumatra rain forest until the feeding site of orang utan. enjoy you time by exploring the activity of orang utan during the feeding time. return to hotel for lunch and check-out. leave bahorok to berastagi karo highland on the way visit crocodile farm you can see thausands and proceed to visit lumbini budhist temple upon arrival at berastagi, transfer to hotel dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 : BERASTAGI LAKE TOBA
breakfast at hotel. visit peceran village to see the old and traditional house of batak karo then continue to visit gundaling hill for viewing berastagi town and two active volcano sibayak and sinabung then visit fruit and flower market to hunting local souvenir continue to visit sipiso-piso water fall with 120 m from the northen side of lake toba. then proceed to pematang purba to see the palaca of king purba. enjoy the short break at simarjarunjung hill the high point of lake toba for viewing lake toba to taste the ginger tea with fried banana{own account} proceed to parapat and upon arrival lunch at local restaurant dinner and over night. free program at the night.
DAY 4 : LAKE TOBA SAMOSIR ISLAND
breakfast at hotel, cruise lake toba to samosir island first will visit ambarita to see the stone chair, used to punish prisoner and enemies into dead during sialagan kingdom. next visit tomok village to see the old tomb of king sidabutar and shopping local souvenir across the lake return to parapat and proceed for lunch at local restaurant continue trip to medan enroute stop at pematang siantar the second biggest city after medan for purchase local snack call teng-teng, ting-ting made from peanut continue to medan passing sumatera plantation such as rubber, palm oil and cocoa. dinner at local restaurant check in to hotel.
DAY 6 : MEDAN KUALANAMU AIRPORT
breakfast at hotel. free program till transfer to airport for next destination. tour end.
